Atlanta International remains busiest airport in the world

For the 13th consecutive year, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is the busiest passenger airport in the world.

Hartsfield-Jackson's passengers increased by 1.51 percent - from 88 million in 2009 to 89.33 million in 2010. International passengers increased by 3.47 percent - from 8.83 million to 9.14 million, slightly less than 2008's record number of 9.18 million international passengers.

While landings and takeoffs decreased by 2.07 percent - from 970,235 in 2009 to 950,119 in 2010 - Hartsfield-Jackson remains the world's busiest airport in terms of operations.
